About Trujillo Airport
Trujillo Airport is a small regional airport serving Trujillo, a historic town in the Colón Department on the northern coast of Honduras. It primarily handles domestic flights and provides an air link between Trujillo and other parts of the country.
Located about 2 km northeast of the town centre, the airport sits close to the Caribbean coast. Its compact terminal and single asphalt runway support light aircraft and short domestic connections, making it a convenient entry point for travellers visiting Trujillo and nearby coastal areas.
Ground transportation is mainly by road, with taxis and local transport connecting the airport to central Trujillo, hotels and nearby destinations. Travel times into the town centre are short.
Because the airport is small, passenger facilities are limited. Travellers are encouraged to plan ahead, although the airport's location keeps onward travel to Trujillo's centre simple and quick.
