About Engadin Airport

Engadin Airport is a regional airport serving the Upper Engadin valley and the surrounding Swiss Alps. Opened on 27 January 1938, it lies near the village of Samedan, about 5 km from the alpine resort town of St. Moritz, and is one of the highest airports in Europe at 1,707 metres above sea level.

The airport mainly handles private, charter, business and general aviation flights, with no scheduled commercial services. Its single compact terminal building supports quick arrivals and departures, with customs and immigration formalities available on-site for international private flights.

Engadin Airport is connected to St. Moritz and other Engadin towns by road, local PostBus services and the Rhaetian Railway from Samedan station, which is about 1 km away. Taxis and pre-arranged transfers provide the most direct option between the airport and nearby hotels and resorts.
