Dongying Shengli Airport is the main civil airport serving Dongying, a city in the Yellow River Delta area of Shandong Province, China. It operates primarily as a regional domestic gateway, connecting Dongying with major cities across China through scheduled flights.
The airport's origins date back to 1984, when construction began; the first phase was completed in October 1985. Originally known as Dongying Yong'an Airport, it resumed scheduled civil operations in November 2001 and was renamed Dongying Shengli Airport in 2011. Today it is a 4D-class airport with a runway extended to 3,600 metres.
Located about 13 km northeast of central Dongying in Kenli District, the airport has a single two-storey passenger terminal with four boarding bridges. Its facilities support domestic departures, arrivals, and a range of passenger services.
The airport is reached by road, with local bus services, taxis, private transfers and rental cars connecting it to Dongying city centre and surrounding areas. It also serves as a COMAC civil aircraft test base, supporting aviation activity in the region.
