Located about 1 km from the city centre on Avenida Gilmar Mendes, between the MT-240 and BR-364 highways, the airport is easy to reach by road. It has a single asphalt runway of about 1,480 m and operates primarily for daytime visual approaches.
The municipal airport was recently renovated, with upgrades to the runway, signage and perimeter fencing completed in 2024. The facility provides a simple entry point for private and small-aircraft travel in the Diamantino area.
