About Araraquara Airport
Bartolomeu de Gusmão Airport serves the city of Araraquara in central São Paulo state. Located about 6 km from downtown Araraquara, it provides a regional gateway for travelers in one of São Paulo's inland industrial and agricultural areas.
Opened in 1936, the airport now operates with a single passenger terminal and one asphalt runway. It has historically served general aviation and regional operations, and in October 2024 Azul resumed regular flights between Araraquara and Viracopos/Campinas, restoring scheduled connectivity to a major hub.
Access to the city is available by taxi, urban bus, private transfer, car rental and road, and the short distance from the centre makes onward travel relatively straightforward.
Recent upgrades have improved the terminal and airside infrastructure, with basic passenger facilities and parking supporting a compact and convenient regional airport.
