Alto Parnaíba Airport is a small regional aerodrome serving the town of Alto Parnaíba, in the far south of the state of Maranhão, Brazil. The town sits close to the border with Piauí, separated from the Piauí town of Santa Filomena by the Parnaíba River.
The airport is located along the MA-006 road about 4 km from the town centre. It has a single gravel runway of around 1,400 metres by 25 metres at an elevation of roughly 295 metres, with operations generally limited to daytime visual flights.
The aerodrome does not currently handle regularly scheduled commercial airline services, so most passenger travel in the region is completed by road. Nearby airports with commercial flights, such as those in Palmas and Imperatriz, are several hundred kilometres away.
For visitors arriving by air or planning regional travel, transfers, private vehicles and chartered ground transport connect the airport with Alto Parnaíba town and the wider southern Maranhão region.
