About Dehong Mangshi International Airport
Dehong Mangshi International Airport is the main airport serving Mangshi and the Dehong Dai and Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture in western Yunnan, China. Opened in 1990 after reconstruction of the former Mangshi Fengping Airport, it operates as a 4C-class international feeder airport for the region.
Located in Fengping Town, about 6.5 km northeast of central Mangshi, the airport connects the area with domestic cities including Kunming, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Chengdu, and supports international services as an international feeder airport. Its current passenger terminal opened in 2009 and serves both domestic and international flights.
The airport is linked to Mangshi by airport shuttle bus, city bus and taxi, with road access for private transfers and onward journeys to destinations such as Ruili, roughly 100 km to the southwest near the Myanmar border.
With a compact terminal, check-in and baggage facilities, VIP lounges and basic passenger amenities, the airport provides a convenient gateway for travelers visiting western Yunnan and the border region.
