About Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport
Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport is the main international airport serving Chongqing, a major city and municipality in southwest China. Located in Lianglu, Yubei District, about 21 km northeast of central Chongqing, it opened in 1990 and has grown into an important aviation hub for the Yangtze River region and western China.
The airport has developed into a multi-terminal operation. Terminal 3A, which opened in 2017, handles domestic and international flights, while Terminal 2 mainly serves domestic traffic. The T3B satellite hall opened in 2025 as a domestic satellite connected to T3A, and the airport now operates with four runways and a large apron capable of serving a wide range of aircraft.
Metro Line 3 and Line 10 connect the airport with central districts such as Jiefangbei, and airport buses, taxis, private transfers and road links offer additional options for reaching hotels and nearby areas.
