About Chenzhou Beihu Airport
Chenzhou Beihu Airport is a domestic airport serving Chenzhou and the surrounding region of southern Hunan. Opened on 16 September 2021, it was developed to improve air access for the city and nearby areas, including popular tourist destinations in the region.
Located in Huatang Town, Beihu District, about 18 km from the city centre, the airport has a single passenger terminal of about 6,419 square metres, six C-class aircraft stands and a 2,600-metre runway. It handles domestic routes to cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Kunming, Nanning, Guiyang, Wenzhou and Quanzhou.
The airport is connected to Chenzhou by Airport Special Line 1 bus services and taxis, with private transfers and rental cars also available for onward travel. Typical taxi journeys to downtown Chenzhou take around 30 minutes depending on traffic.
