Castellón–Costa Azahar Airport (CDT) serves the city of Castellón de la Plana and the Costa Azahar coastline in the Valencian Community of eastern Spain. The airport handles mainly seasonal and low-cost international flights, connecting the province of Castellón with destinations across Europe and supporting regional tourism.
The airport is located about 32 km north of Castellón de la Plana, near the municipalities of Vilanova d'Alcolea and Benlloc. Built from the early 2000s, it was officially inaugurated in 2011 and opened to commercial passenger services in December 2014, making it one of the newer airports in the Valencia region.
The airport has a single two-storey passenger terminal with 12 check-in desks, four boarding gates and two baggage carousels, plus a cargo terminal. Its compact layout keeps walking distances short, making arrivals and departures straightforward for passengers.
By road, the airport is connected to the CV-10 and CV-13, with links to the AP-7 motorway and the N-340, providing access to Castellón, Valencia and the main coastal resorts. Buses, taxis, private transfers and car rental are available for onward travel to destinations such as Benicàssim, Oropesa del Mar and Peñíscola.
