About Cangapara Airport
Cangapara Airport is the main air gateway serving Floriano and the southern Piauí region in northeastern Brazil. Located about 12 km south of the city centre, it connects travelers to Floriano and the surrounding Middle Parnaíba area.
The airport was inaugurated in October 2012 after major renovation work and its passenger terminal was renovated and reopened in March 2023. It has an asphalt runway of about 1,800 m, radio-activated night lighting and three aircraft parking positions capable of receiving medium and large aircraft.
Cangapara Airport is linked to Floriano by road, with taxis, private transfers, chauffeur services and rental cars available for onward travel. Floriano lies about 197 km from Teresina, the state capital.
As a regional airport, it supports general and regional aviation and provides a convenient entry point for travelers arriving in or departing from southern Piauí.
