About Bozoum Airport
Bozoum Airport is a small public airstrip serving Bozoum, the capital of the Ouham-Pendé prefecture in the northwestern Central African Republic. It has a single unpaved runway and is used mainly by humanitarian organizations, charter flights, and regional air services rather than scheduled commercial airlines.
Located about 6 kilometres west-northwest of Bozoum town centre on the opposite side of the Ouham River, the airport provides a basic aviation link for a remote part of the country. Road travel between the airstrip and the town depends on local conditions and may be slower during the rainy season.
Passenger infrastructure at the airport is very limited, with no dedicated terminal building, customs, immigration, or fuel services. Travelers should arrange ground transportation in advance and confirm flight details directly with their operator.
Because scheduled commercial service is not consistently available, the airstrip is primarily a connection point for aid flights, charter operations, and overland journeys across the Ouham-Pendé region.
