Boulsa Airport (XBO)

Boulsa Airport is a small public-use airfield serving the town of Boulsa, the capital of Namentenga Province in Burkina Faso's Centre-Nord region. It provides a local air link for the town and surrounding rural communities rather than operating as a major commercial aviation hub.

The airfield sits at an elevation of about 300 m (984 ft) and has a single unpaved runway, designated 05/23, with a length of approximately 466 m (1,530 ft). Its compact infrastructure is suited to light aircraft and general aviation, and passengers use a simple ground facility rather than a large terminal complex.

Located roughly 2 km southeast of central Boulsa, the airport is reached by local roads. From the airfield, travelers can continue by private transfer, taxi or local road transport into Boulsa and on to other towns in Namentenga Province.

For longer and international journeys, most scheduled air services in Burkina Faso operate from Ouagadougou, about 160 km away by road. Boulsa Airport therefore mainly supports short-range and community travel within the Centre-Nord region.
