Boma Airport (BOA)

Boma Airport is a small airport serving Boma, a historic port city on the Congo River in Kongo Central Province, Democratic Republic of the Congo. It provides a compact air gateway for the city and surrounding region, mainly for domestic connections.

The airport sits about 3 km east of central Boma and is closely linked to the city's role as one of the country's older colonial-era centres and a river port. Its infrastructure is modest, with a single runway of around 1,020 metres and a small passenger terminal.

Travelers can reach the city centre and nearby areas by taxi, private transfer or rental car along local roads. For longer regional journeys, the Atlantic coastal town of Muanda, the port city of Matadi and other Kongo Central destinations can be reached by road.

Facilities at the airport are limited, so it is best suited to short regional travel. Passengers should confirm flight and transport arrangements in advance, as services are more basic than at the country's larger international airports.
