Bole Alashankou Airport is a domestic regional airport serving Bole, Alashankou and Shuanghe in the Bortala Mongol Autonomous Prefecture of Xinjiang, China. Construction began in July 2009 and the airport opened on 10 July 2010, giving the area its first regular civil air link.
The airport sits about 18 km east of central Bole and roughly 57 km south of the Alashankou border crossing with Kazakhstan. It has a single terminal of about 5,000 square metres, four aircraft stands and a 2,600-metre runway, with domestic services mainly linking the region to Urumqi and other cities in China.
Ground transport links include taxis and shuttle vehicles between the airport and Bole, with road access to Alashankou and surrounding towns. Travelers arriving by air can continue by private transfer, rental car or arranged vehicle.
