Betioky Airport is a small regional aerodrome serving Betioky, a town in the Atsimo-Andrefana region of southwest Madagascar. It is identified by the IATA code BKU and the ICAO code FMSV and is supervised by ADEMA, Madagascar's airport authority.
The airport sits about 1.5 km from Betioky town centre, near Route nationale 10, and is approximately 150 km southeast of Toliara, the regional capital. Its single unpaved runway is around 1,300 metres long, and the site sits at an elevation of about 280 metres.
After being out of service for around two decades, the aerodrome was rehabilitated with support from the World Food Programme and reported operational again. Its main role is humanitarian access, helping reach remote communities in the Betioky-Sud district.
Passenger facilities are limited, so travellers should confirm arrangements in advance. The aerodrome could also serve visitors to the nearby Bezà Mahafaly Special Reserve, with onward road connections to Toliara and other parts of southwest Madagascar.
