About Bertoua Airport
Bertoua Airport is the main airport serving Bertoua, the capital of Cameroon's East Region. Opened in 1980 and operated by Aéroports du Cameroun, it is one of the country's secondary airports and mainly supports domestic air travel.
Located about 8 km east-southeast of central Bertoua, the airport has a single runway of approximately 1,800 metres and a compact passenger terminal. It has been used for domestic services, including connections to Yaoundé and Douala.
The airport is reached by road from Bertoua, with taxis, private transfers and local transport available for the short journey to the city centre, which normally takes around 15–20 minutes depending on traffic.
