About Bengbu Tenghu Airport
Bengbu Tenghu Airport is Bengbu's first civil airport and the eighth civil transport airport in Anhui Province. It opened on 29 April 2026, giving the city direct air connections and creating a new gateway for northern Anhui.
Located in Tenghu Village, Feihe Town, Huaiyuan County, the airport sits about 37 km from central Bengbu. Built as a 4C-level domestic regional airport, it has a 2,600-metre runway, an 11-stand apron with six boarding bridges and a 26,000-square-metre terminal, with capacity to handle up to 1.8 million passengers a year.
The airport links Bengbu with destinations including Shenzhen, Dalian, Chengdu, Chongqing and Haikou, with further domestic routes planned. Four airport bus routes connect it with Bengbu urban districts, Huaiyuan, Guzhen and Wuhe, alongside taxis, ride-hailing services and on-site parking.
With its modern terminal and growing route network, the airport gives travelers across the region a more direct way to reach major domestic economic centres and tourist cities, and supports Bengbu's expanding role in regional transport and business travel.
