About Bekily Airport
Bekily Airport is a small domestic airfield serving the town of Bekily and the wider Androy region in southern Madagascar. It provides an air link for this remote area, mainly for domestic and regional flights.
Located about 2 km southwest of the Bekily town centre, the airport has a single unpaved runway aligned 03/21 and a compact passenger building. Its simple layout supports limited operations for travelers arriving in and departing from the region.
The airport is reached by road from Bekily and surrounding communities, with onward road connections toward towns such as Ampanihy and Toliara. Distances in this part of Madagascar are long, and travel times vary considerably with vehicle type and road conditions.
As a small regional airfield, Bekily Airport offers limited passenger facilities, so travelers should arrive with essentials and confirm arrangements in advance. It remains a practical entry point for reaching the southern interior of Madagascar.
