About Beijing Daxing International Airport
Beijing Daxing International Airport is one of two major airports serving the Chinese capital and the wider Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei region. Opened in September 2019, it was built to relieve pressure on Beijing Capital International Airport and has become a key gateway for domestic and international travel.
Located in Daxing District about 46 km south of central Beijing, the airport handles both domestic and international flights. Its single, starfish-shaped terminal has a central hub and five radiating concourses, with departure areas on the upper levels and separate arrival zones for domestic and international passengers.
The airport is connected to Beijing by the Daxing Airport Express, which reaches Caoqiao Station in about 19 minutes, and by the Beijing–Xiong'an intercity railway, express buses, taxis, private transfers and road links. From Caoqiao, passengers can transfer to Beijing Subway lines to continue to the city centre.
With a large retail and dining floor, lounges, self-service check-in options, gardens and onward travel facilities, the airport provides a modern gateway for visitors arriving in Beijing and the surrounding region.
