About Baoshan Yunrui Airport
Baoshan Yunrui Airport is the main civil airport serving Baoshan and parts of western Yunnan. It functions as a domestic regional airport, connecting the city with major destinations such as Kunming, Chengdu, Chongqing and other Chinese cities.
Civil aviation operations at Baoshan began in 1958, and the airport was renamed Baoshan Yunrui Airport in 2005. A new Terminal 2 opened in June 2021, replacing the older Terminal 1 for regular passenger services and expanding capacity for the airport's growing domestic traffic.
The airport is located in the Longyang District, roughly 6.5 km north of central Baoshan. Travelers can continue into the city by taxi, airport shuttle bus or city bus, with road links to the wider region.
With a single modern terminal, shops, dining, VIP lounges and basic passenger amenities, the airport serves as a convenient regional gateway for visitors travelling to Baoshan and nearby areas such as Tengchong.
