About Avram Iancu Cluj International Airport
Avram Iancu Cluj International Airport is the main international airport serving Cluj-Napoca and the surrounding Transylvania region. Founded in 1932, it has developed into a key regional gateway for both leisure and business travel.
Located in the Someşeni district, roughly 9 km east of the city centre, the airport operates through a Departures Passenger Terminal and an Arrivals Passenger Terminal. The airport is connected to Cluj-Napoca by public transport, taxis, ride-hailing, private transfers and road links, making the city centre and surrounding areas relatively easy to reach.
With restaurants, cafés, duty-free shopping, business lounges, free Wi-Fi and passenger assistance services, the airport provides a practical gateway for visitors arriving in Cluj-Napoca and the wider region.
