Anuradhapura Airport is a domestic airport and Sri Lanka Air Force base serving the ancient city of Anuradhapura in Sri Lanka's North Central Province. Established in 1960, it functions as a joint civil-military airfield that supports domestic charter flights and military aviation operations.
The airport is located about 4.6 km southeast of central Anuradhapura, close to one of the country's most important cultural and pilgrimage areas. It provides a convenient air link for travellers visiting the ancient city and nearby destinations in the Cultural Triangle, with charter flights connecting Anuradhapura to Colombo–Ratmalana.
The airfield has a single bitumen runway measuring 1,630 metres, designated 05/23, and a compact passenger terminal for check-in, arrivals and basic passenger services. Charter operators including Air Senok, FitsAir and Helitours serve the airport.
