Alxa Left Banner Bayanhot Airport is the main regional gateway serving Bayanhot, the urban center of Alxa Left Banner, and the wider Alxa League in Inner Mongolia. Opened on 17 December 2013, it was developed as one of China's first commuter airports to improve access to the remote desert banners of the region.
Located about 13 km from Bayanhot, the airport operates a single passenger terminal of roughly 1,500 square meters alongside a 2,400-meter runway.
