About Xewkija Heliport
Xewkija Heliport is a small heliport serving the island of Gozo, the second-largest island in the Maltese archipelago. It is located near the town of Xewkija and lies about 4 km from Victoria, Gozo's main town.
The heliport is also known as Gozo Heliport and uses the IATA code GZM. Scheduled helicopter flights between Gozo and Malta International Airport operated for a number of years, mainly during the 1990s and early 2000s, but regular passenger services are no longer in operation.
The site has a compact terminal building with parking, two concrete landing pads and a connecting asphalt area, together with a fire station. Its location beside the main Gozo road network provides convenient access to Mgarr Harbour, Victoria and coastal areas such as Marsalforn and Xlendi.
Although facilities are limited compared with larger airports, the heliport remains a useful arrival point for private and chartered flights and is well placed for onward travel by car, taxi or pre-arranged transfer across Gozo.
