About Malta International Airport
Malta International Airport is the only airport serving Malta and the surrounding islands. Located in Luqa in the south-eastern part of Malta, it is the main gateway for visitors arriving in the Maltese Islands.
The present terminal was inaugurated in 1992 and replaced the earlier Luqa terminal that had operated since 1958. Today the airport connects Malta to international destinations across Europe, the Middle East and beyond, serving both leisure and business travellers.
