About Vacaria Airport
Vacaria Airport (VCC) is a small regional airport serving the city of Vacaria in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Officially named Aeroporto Regional dos Campos de Cima da Serra Enore Ângelo Lucian Mezari, it provides the main air connection for the Campos de Cima da Serra highlands region.
The airport was originally conceived in 1987 to support cargo transport for the area's fruit production. A single asphalt runway of about 2,020 metres serves the airport, which received its first scheduled commercial service in 2021 when Azul Conecta began flights between Vacaria and Porto Alegre.
Located around 13 km from downtown Vacaria on the BR-285, the airport has a compact passenger terminal completed in 2019. The terminal houses check-in, security, arrivals and basic passenger facilities within a single building.
Road connections via BR-285 link the airport to central Vacaria, nearby towns and the wider Serra Gaúcha region, with taxis, private transfers and rental cars available for onward travel.
