About Torres Airport
Torres Airport is a regional airport serving Torres and the northern coast of Rio Grande do Sul, an area known for its beaches and summer tourism. It plays a growing role for private and executive aviation and has been prepared to support scheduled commercial flights for the Litoral Norte Gaúcho.
Located along RS-389 (Estrada do Mar), about 15 km from downtown Torres, the airport has a single passenger terminal and a paved runway. Recent improvements have widened the runway and taxiway and added aircraft parking positions, expanding the airport's operational capacity.
The airport has been operated by Infraero since September 2024, replacing earlier state administration under the former code SBTR. Its current codes are IATA TSQ and ICAO SSTE.
Road access via RS-389 connects the airport to Torres, nearby beach towns and the wider region. Although facilities are more limited than at larger airports, the terminal provides basic passenger services and convenient access to the coast.
