About Tezu Airport
Tezu Airport is a domestic airport serving Tezu town and the surrounding Lohit district in Arunachal Pradesh, in India's far northeast. Operationalized in 2018 under the UDAN regional connectivity scheme, it is one of the easternmost airports in India and is operated by the Airports Authority of India.
The airport has a single runway and a modern terminal building inaugurated in 2023. The terminal covers about 4,000 square metres and is designed to handle ATR 72 aircraft, with scheduled flights connecting Tezu to destinations such as Dibrugarh, Imphal and Guwahati.
Located a short distance from Tezu town, the airport can be reached by taxi, private transfer or local road transport. Its compact size makes the airport convenient for travelers continuing to Tezu, nearby Lohit district towns and the wider Arunachal Pradesh region.
