About Tata Airport
Tata Airport is a small airport serving Labé, a major city in Guinea's Fouta Djallon region. It is one of the country's regional airfields and has historically supported domestic air links connecting Labé with other parts of Guinea.
Located a short distance from the centre of Labé, the airport sits at an elevation of about 1,036 metres. Its single unpaved runway was formerly paved, and plans to repave it never materialized, so flight operations are limited and there are currently no scheduled passenger services.
The airport received passengers up until the mid-2000s through regional carriers such as Air Guinée and Union des Transports Africains (West Coast Airways). Today the airfield remains useful for general aviation and helicopter operations.
Road access connects the airport with Labé and surrounding towns, and visitors generally arrange private vehicles or road transfers for the short journey into the city. Passenger facilities are basic, so travellers should plan accordingly.
