About Sorocaba Airport
Sorocaba Airport, officially Bertram Luiz Leupolz Airport, serves the city of Sorocaba in the interior of São Paulo state. It opened in the 1940s as a local airfield and has developed into one of Brazil's leading centres for executive aviation and aircraft maintenance, operated today by Rede Voa.
Located in the northern zone of Sorocaba about 5 km from the city centre, the airport functions mainly as a general and executive aviation facility rather than a scheduled commercial passenger terminal. It is home to an Embraer executive aviation service centre and other maintenance operations, and it received international authorization in 2025 for aircraft maintenance, repair, import and export.
The airport has a single passenger terminal and one paved runway, supported by taxiways, aprons, hangars and specialized maintenance areas. Recent improvements included a Federal Police passport issuance office, baggage inspection equipment and customs facilities to support international maintenance flights.
Road access connects the airport quickly to central Sorocaba and to highways serving São Paulo, about 90 km to the east, as well as Campinas and other cities in the region.
