About Sindal Airport
Sindal Airport is a compact municipal airfield serving Sindal and the surrounding Vendsyssel area of North Jutland. It is located about 4 km from Sindal town centre and lies between the towns of Hjørring and Frederikshavn.
Its primary role is general and business aviation, including private flights, air taxi operations and flight training, rather than scheduled airline traffic. The airport has a 1,199-metre asphalt runway aligned 08/26 and a single small passenger terminal used mainly for private and charter arrivals and departures.
Because of its position in northern Denmark, Sindal Airport provides a convenient entry point for travellers continuing to Hjørring, Frederikshavn, the North Jutland coast and the Hirtshals ferry connections. The nearest railway station is in Sindal, and onward travel is typically by taxi, rental car or pre-arranged transfer.
Facilities are deliberately small-scale, with a passenger lounge, Wi-Fi, restrooms and a restaurant on site, while hotels and other services can be found in Sindal and the nearby towns.
