About Sibiti Airport
Sibiti Airport serves the town of Sibiti and the Lékoumou Department in the Republic of the Congo. It was developed to replace an earlier laterite airstrip that had fallen out of use, and its new runway was inaugurated in August 2014.
Located just east of the town centre, the airport lies roughly 300 km west of Brazzaville. It has a 2,050-metre asphalt runway oriented 10/28 and can handle Boeing 737-type aircraft, with a compact passenger terminal and aircraft parking areas.
The airport mainly supports domestic air connections and general aviation, improving access to this part of the country for official, business and community travel.
Road links connect the airport to Sibiti and onward destinations in the region, with taxis, private transfers and car rental used for the short trip into town and longer journeys such as the route to Brazzaville.
