Sauce Viejo International Airport is the main airport serving Santa Fe and the surrounding Gran Santa Fe region in Argentina. It is a key gateway for domestic travel and, since its international recategorization in 2024, for international flights.
Aviation activity at Sauce Viejo began in 1955, when an Aerolíneas Argentinas Douglas DC-3 landed on a 1,800-metre strip, and the first paved runway opened in 1964. Today the airport has a single passenger terminal of about 3,000 m² with three gates and a 2,325-metre runway, along with customs, immigration and border health areas.
The airport sits about 17 km southwest of central Santa Fe, beside National Route 11 and near the Rosario–Santa Fe motorway. Remises, taxis and private transfers connect it with the city centre and nearby areas.
The terminal provides check-in, security and arrival facilities together with a café, kiosk, pharmacy, ATM, free Wi-Fi, a breastfeeding room and free parking, making it a practical regional gateway.
