Sania Ramel Airport serves Tétouan and the northern Mediterranean coast of Morocco, providing a compact gateway for domestic and international travel. It lies just a few kilometres east of central Tétouan and gives easy access to coastal resorts such as Martil and the wider Rif region.
The airport began operations in 1913 as a military airfield during the Spanish Protectorate. It was handed over to Moroccan authorities in 1967 and has since been managed by the national airports authority, with a renovated passenger terminal completed in 2008.
The site operates a single passenger terminal of about 1,200 square metres and a 2,300-metre runway. Flights connect Tétouan with Casablanca and other Moroccan cities, alongside direct services to destinations in Spain, France, Belgium, the United Kingdom and other parts of Europe.
Taxis, local buses, private transfers and car rental link the airport with central Tétouan, which is normally a short drive away. Its small scale keeps check-in, security, baggage claim and ground transport close together, making it a practical arrival point for northern Morocco.
