San José Island Airport (SIC)

San José Island Airport is a small domestic airport serving San José Island, part of the Pearl Islands archipelago in Panama. It is located in the province of Panama, roughly 90 km southeast of Panama City, and mainly handles short domestic flights connecting the island with the capital.

The airport has a single concrete runway of about 1,330 m and serves a limited number of passengers travelling to and from the island. Air Panama operates flights between San José Island and Panama City–Albrook, providing the main scheduled air link for visitors and residents.

Because the airport sits on an island with no road connection to the mainland, most onward journeys are made using prearranged vehicles, boats or transfers coordinated by island lodges and resorts. The island setting means travel times and services depend on local weather and scheduling.

Passenger facilities are small and functional rather than large-scale, with a basic waiting area and limited services. Travelers should confirm flight times, transfer arrangements and island logistics in advance, as services are limited compared with major international airports.
