San Domino Island Heliport (TQR)

San Domino Island Heliport is the main helicopter gateway to San Domino Island, the largest of the Tremiti Islands in Apulia, southern Italy. Built by the Apulia region in 2008 and operated by Alidaunia, it links the island with the mainland through year-round scheduled helicopter services from Foggia Gino Lisa Airport.

The heliport primarily serves domestic traffic and also supports emergency medical service and civil protection missions. The flight from Foggia, roughly 75 km away, takes about 20 minutes, making the heliport the fastest year-round air connection to the Tremiti Islands.

Located in the settlement of Villaggio San Domino, the heliport sits about one kilometre from the village centre, so most hotels and guest houses are within a short taxi, shuttle or walking distance. Ferries depart from San Domino harbour for the nearby islands of San Nicola and Capraia and for mainland ports along the Adriatic coast.

The compact terminal provides basic passenger services, while restaurants, cafés and shops are concentrated in the village nearby, keeping onward travel simple for visitors arriving on the island.
