Salina Cruz Airport (SCX), also known as Salina Cruz Naval Air Base, is located in Salina Cruz, Oaxaca, on Mexico's Pacific coast in the Isthmus of Tehuantepec region. It formerly served the city with commercial flights to Mexico City, and its position just north of the city centre provides road access to Salina Cruz, Tehuantepec and nearby Gulf of Tehuantepec destinations.

About Salina Cruz Airport
Salina Cruz Airport, officially the Salina Cruz Naval Air Base (Estación Aeronaval de Salina Cruz), is a Mexican Navy installation in Salina Cruz, Oaxaca, on the Pacific coast of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec. The airstrip was originally built in 1942 to serve the city.
The site formerly operated as Salina Cruz Airport with a single asphalt runway, designated 18/36, and a small passenger terminal. Commercial flights to Mexico City were operated primarily by Aeromar using ATR 42 aircraft. Today the fixed-wing runway is no longer operational, and the base is used exclusively for military helicopter operations.
Located about 3 km north of central Salina Cruz, the airfield is reached by road and sits near the city's port and the Gulf of Tehuantepec. Because scheduled commercial passenger service is no longer available at SCX, travelers in the region generally use Ixtepec Airport or Bahías de Huatulco International Airport for regular flights.
Despite its current military role, the site remains the historic airport of Salina Cruz and a reference point for the city and the Isthmus of Tehuantepec region. Ground transportation into Salina Cruz and surrounding areas is available by taxi or private vehicle.
