Rubem Berta International Airport is the main airport serving Uruguaiana, a city in western Rio Grande do Sul close to the borders with Argentina and Uruguay. Opened to air traffic in 1965, it was renamed in 1967 in honour of Rubem Berta, a pioneer of Brazilian commercial aviation, and gained international airport status in 1974.
The airport operates from a single compact passenger terminal and is currently managed by CCR Aeroportos, which began operations in 2022 and has since expanded the arrivals and check-in areas. Scheduled flights operated by Azul connect Uruguaiana with Porto Alegre, the state capital.
Located about 9 km from downtown Uruguaiana, the airport is reached by taxi, private transfer or car, with vehicle parking available at the terminal.
