Rotuma Airport is the only airport serving Rotuma, a remote island dependency of Fiji, and is operated by Airports Fiji Limited. Located near Else'e village in the district of Malhaha, it provides the island's scheduled air link with the Fijian mainland.
The airport is roughly 3 km from Ahau, Rotuma's main government station and principal settlement. Its single asphalt runway was sealed in an upgrade opened in 2018, allowing Fiji Link's ATR 72-600 aircraft to operate the Nadi service and replacing the smaller de Havilland Twin Otter previously used.
Flights are limited, with scheduled services operating on a weekly basis to Nadi International Airport, the main connection point for onward travel to Suva and international destinations. Because departures are infrequent, travelers should confirm flight schedules in advance.
On the island, pre-arranged transfers, taxis and private vehicles provide the main links between the airport and villages such as Ahau, Else'e and Motusa. The airport functions as a small but essential gateway for residents and visitors arriving in this remote part of Fiji.
