About Romeu Zema Airport
Romeu Zema Airport is the airport serving Araxá, a city in the Alto Paranaíba region of Minas Gerais, Brazil. Named after a local entrepreneur, it operates as a small regional gateway with scheduled domestic flights to Belo Horizonte–Confins and a steady flow of executive aviation traffic.
Located about 4 km from central Araxá, the airport has a single passenger terminal of roughly 700 m² and a 1,900-metre asphalt runway. After renovations were completed in 2009 and again in 2022, commercial flights resumed and the airport has since supported the city's growing tourism and business travel.
The airport is reached by taxi, private transfer, rental car or a short drive from the city centre, making onward travel to hotels and the Grande Hotel thermal resort straightforward.
