Richard I. Bong Memorial Airport is a public general aviation airport located about three miles south of downtown Superior, Wisconsin, and serving the Duluth–Superior Twin Ports area. Activated in 1937, the airport is named for World War II flying ace Richard I. Bong, a native of nearby Poplar, Wisconsin.
Operated by the City of Superior, the airport supports private, charter, flight training, medical, and recreational aviation rather than scheduled commercial airline service.
