Melbourne Orlando International Airport is a compact commercial airport serving Melbourne, Florida's Space Coast and the wider Orlando region. The airport began operations in 1928 and today operates from a single passenger terminal, the Edward L. Foster Air Terminal, which handles both domestic and international flights.
Located about 1.5 miles northwest of downtown Melbourne and roughly 70 miles southeast of Orlando, MLB provides an alternative gateway to Cocoa Beach, Cape Canaveral, Port Canaveral and central Florida's attractions. Scheduled domestic service and transatlantic flights from the United Kingdom link the airport with destinations on both sides of the Atlantic.
The terminal has undergone renovation and expansion, including a larger security checkpoint, new gate areas and improved international arrivals facilities. Passengers have access to dining, shopping, a duty-free store, a premium lounge and free Wi-Fi.
