About Resistencia International Airport
Resistencia International Airport is the main airport serving Resistencia, the capital of Chaco Province, and also provides access to the neighbouring city of Corrientes across the Paraná River. It functions as the principal air gateway for north-eastern Argentina's Gran Resistencia–Corrientes metropolitan area.
The airport was inaugurated in 1965, and its passenger terminal was completed in 1971. It has been operated by Aeropuertos Argentina 2000 since 1998, when a process of modernisation improved the runway, navigation equipment and terminal building.
Located approximately 7 km west of central Resistencia, the airport is reached via Ruta Nacional 11 and the local road network. Passengers can continue their journey by taxi or remis, urban bus, private transfer, chauffeur service or rental car.
The compact single terminal keeps check-in, security, departures and arrivals close together, while passenger facilities include a bar and café, shops with regional products, free Wi-Fi, an ATM and a medical clinic.
