Reno-Tahoe International Airport is the main commercial airport serving Reno, Sparks, and the broader Lake Tahoe region of northern Nevada. Its roots date to 1929, when the site opened as Hubbard Field, and the current passenger terminal was later dedicated and named after U.S. Senator Howard Cannon.
The airport operates a single passenger terminal with two concourses, B and C, offering around 23 gates. A multi-year modernization program called MoreRNO is underway to replace the aging concourses with larger, more accessible facilities designed for growing passenger demand.
Located about 5 km southeast of downtown Reno, the airport provides quick access to the city centre, Sparks, and the Lake Tahoe basin. Ground transportation includes taxis, ride-share services, public buses, hotel shuttles, rental cars, and private transfers.
