Puerto Obaldía Airport (PUE)

Puerto Obaldía Airport is a small public airfield serving Puerto Obaldía, a Caribbean coastal town in the Guna Yala comarca of Panama. Because the area has no road connection to the rest of the country, the airport is an essential domestic link between this remote eastern region and Panama City.

The airport has a single concrete runway, 17/35, which was replaced with a longer and wider surface between 2008 and 2010. It mainly handles regional passenger flights operated by Air Panama between Puerto Obaldía and Panama City–Albrook.

The airfield sits just outside the town centre, roughly 300 metres from central Puerto Obaldía and about 2.5 kilometres from the border with Colombia. Its position makes it a convenient entry point for the eastern Guna Yala coast and nearby cross-border communities.

Onward travel is primarily on foot within Puerto Obaldía or by boat along the coast, since there are no roads linking the town to the rest of Panama. The airport offers a basic passenger building and waiting area, and most travelers use it as the starting point for short stays, coastal journeys, or connections to and from the capital.
