Opened in 1959, the airport is named after Eribelto Manoel Reino, a prominent local lawyer, accountant, economist and politician, and has long supported domestic air travel in Brazil's interior.
The airport operates through a single passenger terminal and is served by Azul, Gol and LATAM on scheduled domestic routes. It functions as an important regional connection point for business and leisure travellers moving between São Paulo, other Brazilian cities and the northwest of São Paulo state.
