Presidente Nicolau Lobato International Airport (DIL)

Presidente Nicolau Lobato International Airport is the main international airport serving Dili, the capital of Timor-Leste. Formerly known as Comoro International Airport, it has carried the name of the East Timorese national hero Nicolau dos Reis Lobato since 2002 and serves as the country's primary aviation gateway.

The airport is located roughly 6 km west of central Dili along the coast road, with a single passenger terminal handling both domestic and international flights. Scheduled international services connect Dili with regional hubs including Denpasar, Darwin and Singapore, while the airport also supports domestic travel within Timor-Leste.

Ground transportation is available through taxis, hotel pickups, pre-booked private transfers and rental cars, although there is no direct public bus service from the terminal; mikrolet minibuses can be found on the main road nearby. The runway can accommodate aircraft up to the size of a Boeing 737.

Passenger facilities within the terminal include check-in counters, self-service kiosks, cafés, restaurants, shops, duty-free retail, lounges and currency exchange services, making it a compact but functional gateway for visitors arriving in Timor-Leste.
