About Planalto Serrano Regional Airport
Planalto Serrano Regional Airport is a regional airport serving Correia Pinto and Lages in the Serra Catarinense highlands of Santa Catarina, southern Brazil. Inaugurated in July 2020, it was built to improve air access for the Planalto Serrano, Meio-Oeste and Alto Vale do Itajaí regions and now provides scheduled domestic connections.
Located beside the BR-116 highway, the airport is about 7 km from downtown Correia Pinto and roughly 28 km from Lages, the main city of the region. Its single passenger terminal serves domestic flights, and the 1,802-metre runway can accommodate regional aircraft and narrow-body jets.
Travellers can continue to Lages, São Joaquim, Urubici, Curitibanos and other highland towns by taxi, private transfer or rental car. In late 2025, Gol Linhas Aéreas began operating scheduled flights between the airport and São Paulo–Congonhas, strengthening regional connectivity.
