About Pasighat Airport
Pasighat Airport is a domestic airport serving Pasighat and the East Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh. Operated by the Airports Authority of India as a civil enclave, it shares its airfield with the Indian Air Force and is a key aviation link for eastern Arunachal Pradesh.
The airport sits beside the Siang River, about 3 km from Pasighat town centre. A new passenger terminal was built in 2017, and scheduled commercial flights began in May 2018 when Alliance Air started operating an ATR aircraft between Pasighat and Guwahati under the regional connectivity scheme.
The single passenger terminal handles domestic arrivals and departures, with a single asphalt runway of about 2,060 m. Alliance Air connects Pasighat with Guwahati and Itanagar, and a Pawan Hans helicopter service links Pasighat with other stations in Arunachal Pradesh.
For onward travel, taxis and auto-rickshaws are available outside the terminal for the short ride into Pasighat, while private transfers and pre-arranged cars offer connections to nearby towns and destinations in the Siang Valley. Basic passenger facilities, including a small snack counter and waiting areas, keep the airport practical for regional travelers.
